This unique dome project in Nainital, made entirely with lime mortar (chune), was considered a challenge by many, as they doubted the feasibility of using lime mortar for such a structure. Despite the skepticism, this dome was successfully constructed, with an 11 feet by 10 feet span and a raising of 12 inches. The arch seen in the design is part of a staircase, also built using lime mortar, demonstrating the skill and resilience of the craftsmanship involved.
